Nottinghamshire Outlaws earn a 22-run win over Yorkshire Vikings in their T20 Blast encounter at Trent Bridge.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws have beaten Yorkshire Vikings by 22 runs in their T20 Blast encounter at Trent Bridge.

The hosts, who chose to bat first, made 143-9 before the Vikings reached 121-9 at the end of their 20 overs.

James Taylor scored the bulk of Nottinghamshire's runs with an unbeaten knock of 52, while Samit Patel (20) and James Franklin (27) also made significant contributions at the crease.

Ryan Sidebottom ended with three wickets for the visitors, who were given a modest total to chase.

However, Alex Lees (37), Tim Bresnan (28) and Adil Rashid (21) were the only Yorkshire batsmen to get beyond 10 runs as their team collapsed out in the middle.

Luke Fletcher proved most effective with the ball for the home side thanks to figures of 3-21.
