Tom Milnes joins Derbyshire

Former Warwickshire bowler Tom Milnes signs a two-year contract with Derbyshire.

Derbyshire have secured the services of bowler Tom Milnes.

The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the 3aaa County Ground from Warwickshire, who released him last week.

However, he has now agreed a two-year contract with Derbyshire, which will come into force at the start of next term.

"I'm delighted to sign with Derbyshire for the next two years. I've enjoyed my loan spell with the club and feel that this is the right place for me to develop my game and produce runs and wickets at the highest level," he told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, elite performance director Graeme Welch added: "Tom has impressed me both on and off the field during his spell with us. He is a talented young lad who wants to improve and develop his game."

Milnes has made 15 first-class appearances, from which he has claimed 26 wickets.
