Charlie Shreck signs new Leicestershire contract

Veteran bowler Charlie Shreck agrees a new 12-month contract with Leicestershire.

Leicestershire have confirmed that Charlie Shreck has signed a new contract with the club.

The bowler's previous deal expired at the end of the most recent campaign, but he has now committed himself to Grace Road for another 12 months.

"We are pleased that Charlie has decided to sign a new contract. He has been a very good signing for us with his performances on the field and his contribution off the field," interim chief executive Andrew Boyce told the club's official website.

"Charlie has been a consistent performer for Leicestershire in all three competitions. He has bowled a lot of overs for us in the Championship and also bowled well in white ball cricket. He is a big character in the dressing room."

Shreck, 36, joined Leicestershire from Kent in 2013.
