Mark Ramprakash punished by ECB

Mark Ramprakash has been punished by the England and Wales Cricket Board over comments that he made during Surrey's Championship match with Worcestershire.

The 42-year-old is believed to have used "language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or making an obscene gesture" towards the umpires at the Oval.

He has subsequently been fined three points under the ECB's disciplinary system.

Ramprakash, who now has six points, is a three away from receiving an automatic ban.
