Jimmy Adams named Kent coach

Former West Indies coach Jimmy Adams has been appointed the new coach of Kent.

The 43-year-old has taken over the role from Paul Farbrace, who left the position in September 2011 following a two-year stint with club.

"Kent are a county with a proud history and tradition," said Adams.

"I look forward to working towards further success in the year to come and can't wait to get started."

The 43-year-old retired as a player in 2004.
