Andrew Flintoff in talks over Lancashire return

Lancashire have confirmed that they have held discussions with former England international Andrew Flintoff regarding a return to cricket for the 36-year-old.

The all-rounder has not played professionally since 2009, but he recently started to train with the county where he spent 15 years as a player.

Now, talks have taken place over Flintoff featuring in this season's Twenty20 Blast, as well as taking on a reported coaching position.

"We are in talks with Andrew over possible involvement with the club," a Lancashire spokesman told BBC Sport.

Should the deal be concluded, it is believed that Flintoff will not make an appearance until next month because of an ankle injury.
