Adam Voges questions pink ball suitability

Australian fast bowler Adam Voges believes the pink ball should not be used in a day-night Test match against New Zealand next month, calling it 'unsuitable'.

Australian batsman Adam Voges has questioned whether the pink ball should be used in Test cricket.

Voges was unimpressed with the ball's performance in a 50-over day-night tour match and believes it should not be used in the day-night match against New Zealand next month.

"There wasn't much pink left on it by the end of the game," Voges told reporters. "It stopped swinging, there was no reverse-swing, but the older it gets, I can't see it being any easier to see.

"The first 10 overs were a real challenge but after that the ball stopped swinging. There was no reverse-swing or anything like that because both sides get chewed up equally."

Voges' complaints about the pink ball follow criticism from fast bowler Josh Hazelwood who said the ball was hard for fielders to see.
