T20 Blast roundup: Lancashire Lightning seal Roses double

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the T20 Blast as Brendon McCullum knocks 158 from 64 balls to steer the Birmingham Bears to victory.

Lancashire Lightning enjoyed a memorable evening in the T20 Blast as they beat Yorkshire Vikings by 29 runs to secure a Roses double over their rivals.

Stephen Parry starred with the ball for Lancashire as they posted 231-4 to win, their highest total in Twenty20 cricket.

Elsewhere, a sensational innings from Brendon McCullum set the Birmingham Bears on their way to a 60 run win over Derbyshire Falcons at Edgbaston.

The New Zealand captain hit 158 not out of 64 balls to match the total that he hit for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008.

Durham Jets recorded a comfortable win over Leicestershire Foxes as John Hastings and Usman Arshad took three wickets each for the Jets to limit the visitors to just 125 and secure a 38 run victory for their side.

Gloucestershire made light work of their run chase as Hamish Marshall (93) and Michael Klinger (58) put on 156 for the first wicket and teed up an eight-wicket victory in the West Country derby.

The result means that Gloucestershire move above their rivals in the South Group table.

A sharp performance with the ball from Zafar Ansari and an unbeaten partnership of Kumar Sangakkara and Gary Wilson propelled Surrey to an eight-wicket victory over Middlesex Panthers in their bottom-of-the-table clash at The Oval.

Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph put in a match-winning performance with bat and ball as he made 77 in his team's total of 181-7 and took 2-8 to beat Hampshire.

At Trent Bridge, Alex Hales looked to be on his way to firing the Outlaws to another win, before his dismissal sparked a collapse from the home side and allowed Worcestershire Rapids to snatch the two points.

In the night's last game, Kent Spitfires strolled to a seven-wicket victory over Sussex Sharks to move to the top of the South Group table.
