Royal Challengers see off Super Kings

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won their second consecutive match in the Indian Premier League with a five-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings in Ranchi.

The Super Kings, who put themselves into bat first, scored 138-4 before the Royal Challengers reached 142-5 with one ball remaining.

Suresh Raina (62 not out), David Hussey (25) and Brendon McCullum (19) hit the bulk of the Chennai runs, but Ravindra Jadeja (10 not out) was the only other player to make it into double figures.

Varun Aaron picked up two wickets for Bangalore, while Muttiah Muralitharan and Abu Nechim ended with one wicket apiece.

The Royal Challengers made an impressive start at the crease thanks to Chris Gayle's 46 off 50 balls. Virat Kohli (26) and AB de Villiers (26) also made an impact out in the middle.

It was then left to Yuvraj Singh (13) towards the end of the innings to push Bangalore over the line.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Hussey both finished with two wickets each, and Jadeja also made his mark with the ball by dismissing Kohli.
