Having been put into bat after losing the toss, Bangladesh went on to make 279-7 from their 50 overs.

Mushfiqur Rahim top scored with an impressive knock of 117 from 113 balls, while Anamul Haque (77) also made a significant contribution at the crease. However, Mominul Haque (23) was the only other batsman to get beyond 20 runs.

Mohammed Shami claimed four wickets for India, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Varun Aaron and Ravichandran Ashwin taking the remaining three wickets between them.
