Bangladesh bowler Al-Amin Hossain is sent home from the World Cup after 'breaching team rules'.

Bangladesh bowler Al-Amin Hossain has been sent home from the World Cup for a 'breach of team rules'.

The 25-year-old is understood to have broken the team curfew in Brisbane on February 19.

Al-Amin has played six Tests and 11 one-day international for his country since 2011.

"Al-Amin has been found to have breached team rules and will take no further part in the World Cup," read a Bangladeshi statement.

"Following consultation with the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the team management has decided to send the player home immediately.

"The Board will conduct its own inquiry into the breach after receiving the manager's report at the end of the team's World Cup campaign."

Bangladesh's World Cup game against Australia on Saturday was abandoned due to poor weather conditions.
