GB's Liam Heath, Jon Schofield take gold in canoeing World Cup 3

Great Britain's Liam Heath and Jon Schofield reached the top of the podium in Copenhagen at the weekend by winning gold in the K2 200m gold at the World Cup 3.

Olympic champion Ed McKeever also added to Britain's medal haul by claiming a bronze medal in the K1 200m.

"It's fantastic to win the gold medal and it's a great indication of where we are standing and how our training has been going," Heath told Sportsbeat.

"It highlights areas we need to work on over the next few weeks and months leading into the European Games and World Championships."

Overall, GB earned one gold, two silvers and three bronze medals in the event.
