Team GB reach men's K2 sprint final

Team GB's K2 sprint pair of Liam Heath and Jon Schofield have qualified for the A final of the competition after finishing second in their semi-final.

The semi was dominated by the Russian pair, who won with an Olympic-best time of 32.051s, with GB getting through nearly a second behind on 32.940s.

The close second semi-final was won by Belarus with a time of 32.641s, with Germany and France not far behind on 32.662s and 32.668s respectively.

Four from each semi-final make up the eight-team final, which takes place tomorrow morning.
