Jess Walker qualifies for K1 sprint final

Britain's Jess Walker qualifies for the women's K1 sprint final after finishing second in her semi-final.

Team GB's Jess Walker has qualified for the women's K1 sprint final after finishing second in the second semi-final.

Walker's time was 41.734s, 0.321s behind winner Natalia Lobova of Russian Federation.

The faster first semi-final was won by Australia's Lisa Carrington with 40.528s and Spain's Teresa Portela Rivas qualified in second with 40.898s.

The third semi-final was taken by Natasa Douchev-Janics in 40.570s, with Marta Walczykiewicz of Poland taking the second automatic qualifying spot with 40.905s.

The final will take place on Saturday morning.
