Richard Jefferies loses out in semi-finals

Team GB's Richard Jefferies has failed to qualify for the final of the men's canoe single 1000m.

Jefferies struggled throughout the semi-final and he was back in the field at the halfway mark.

He faded dramatically in the final 250m of the race and he finished in last place.
