Rachel Cawthorn wins heat to qualify for kayak semi-finals

Team GB's Rachel Cawthorn has progressed to the semi-finals of the women's kayak single 500m.

Cawthorn and Australia's Alana Nicholls surged ahead of the field at the halfway stage, but it was Cawthorn who pushed on to seal her semi-final place in style.

The semi-finals will take place later this morning.
