Hungary win gold in kayak 1000m

Hungary have won gold in the four-man kayak (K4) 1000m, with a time of 3:07.063.

They were nearly a second ahead of silver medallists Russia (3:08.034) and bronze medallists Belarus (3:08.827)

After struggling in the opening stages, the Hungarians were fourth after 250m, but a strong second half of the race led to them clinch the gold medal.

The Hungarian team consists of Zoltan Kammerer, David Toth, Tamas Kulifai and Daniel Pauman.
