David Price pitched six solid innings to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-2 win and 2-0 lead in the World Series.
In his second straight post-season victory, the Red Sox pitcher allowed just two runs on three hits, walked three and struck out five on a cold night at Fenway Park.
The Dodgers had managed to go 2-1 up – their first lead of the series – by the end of the fourth inning, but the Red Sox went on to use another two-out rally to grasp the lead.
In a stellar inning, left fielder Andrew Benintendi had kicked things off with a leaping catch to stop Brian Dozier's extra-base hit.
Then tied at 2-2, the turning point came thanks to a two-run single by JD Martinez, putting the Red Sox ahead in the fifth and for the remainder of the game.
Boston now take a convincing 2-0 lead to Los Angeles for Friday's game three.
With Boston just two wins away from the World Series title, the Dodgers will be hoping to avoid a 3-0 deficit in the best-of-seven series.
