Scott Evans unbeaten in group stages to progress into next round

Scott Evans of Ireland will head into the last 16 of the men's badminton singles after remaining unbeaten in the group stages.

Evans beat Georgios Charalambidis of Greece 21-7 21-9, before being taken to three sets by Belgium's Yuhan Tan with a 14-21 21-13 21-13 scoreline.

The 27-year-old then beat Hungary's Gergely Krausz 21-16 21-7.

Evans will need to wait for the other groups to finish before finding out who he faces in the next round.
