Dave Lindley: 'We will not underestimate Sri Lanka'

Lindley: 'We'll respect Sri Lanka'

Team England badminton leader Dave Lindley has expressed caution ahead of his side's Commonwealth Games mixed team clash against Sri Lanka this evening, claiming that his side will not "underestimate" their opposition.

England beat Mauritius 5-0 in their Group F clash at the Emirates Arena, and as a result have been drawn against the South Asian nation in this evening's quarter-finals.

Lindley told reporters: "I think out of the remaining teams there, there were a couple of the teams we wanted to possibly avoid.

"Sri Lanka are not an easy team by any means and we won't underestimate them. We are very confident we can come through that match."

England's win against Mauritius was their third successive victory in the mixed team competition.
