Warren Blake 'Usain Bolt will be unbeatable in Beijing'

JAAA president Warren Blake says that Olympic champion Usain Bolt will rediscover his best form at the World Championships in Beijing this summer.

Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association president Warren Blake has claimed that Usain Bolt will be "unbeatable" in the World Championships this summer.

The six-time Olympic champion has struggled with injuries over the past year and he is expected to come under pressure to defend his title from the in-form Justin Gatlin.

Last week, Bolt claimed that he was disappointed with his performance in the 200m at the New York Diamond League meeting, but Blake has tipped his fellow countryman to come good on the main stage.

"Once Usain settles down and starts training really hard, then he will be unbeatable come Beijing," Blake is quoted as saying by The Gleaner.

"I remember in 2012 when he was beaten at our national trials, and people were speculating that he was gonna be beaten in London.

"Usain buckled down and started to train hard, and with an expert coach like [Glen] Mills guiding him he was unbeatable in London, and I expect the same thing to happen again."

Bolt set world records in the 100m and the 200m during the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.
