Day three of the World Athletics Championships in South Korea saw a number of medals clinched.

There was to be no history made by amputee athlete Oscar Pistorius, who finished last in his 400m semi-final, while Dayron Robles was stripped of a gold medal for holding back Liu Xiang in the final of the 110m hurdles.
