USA's Ashton Eaton has moved a step closer to winning decathlon gold after he finished third in the pole vault.
Eaton recorded a height of 5.20m to earn 972 points and extend his lead over fellow American Trey Hardee.
Hardee is now 222 points behind Eaton after he could only clear 4.80m.
The javelin and the 1,500m will complete the decathlon later this evening.
