Pavlyck clinches gold in long jump final

Ukraine's Roman Pavlyk has picked up a gold medal in the men's F36 long jump final after a tough contest at the Olympic Stadium.

The Paralympian recorded a personal best jump of 5.23m, which was enough to place him at the top of the group and take home the gold medal.

Mariusz Sobczak of Poland came close to rivalling Pavlyk after setting his own personal best jump of 5.14m.

Russia's Vladimir Sviridov rounded off the podium places by clinching a bronze medal for his country after jumping a length of 5.08m.
