Tianna Bartoletta wins women's long jump as Jazmin Sawyers finishes in eighth

USA's Tianna Bartoletta wins the women's long jump final as British pair Jazmin Sawyers and Lorraine Ugen miss out on a medal.

USA's Tianna Bartoletta has won the women's long jump final ahead of compatriot Brittney Reese.

Just two centimetres separated the pair as Bartoletta recorded a distance of 7.17m with her fifth jump.

Serbia's Ivana Spanovic claimed the bronze medal with a mark of 7.08m but British duo Jazmin Sawyers and Lorraine Ugen finished down the field.

Sawyers ended the competition in eighth spot with a distance of 6.69m while Ugan was 11th with 6.58m.
