Kyle Langford continued his recent positive form thanks to a victory in the final of the 800m at the European Junior Championships in Sweden this afternoon.
The 19-year-old, who spoke exclusively to Sports Mole last week, recently became the first junior to win the British Championships over two laps of the track since Steve Ovett in the 1970s.
He has now followed that up with a gold medal in Eskilstuna in a time of 1:48.99, which was just enough to get the better of Russia's Konstantin Tolokonnikov, who was only one hundredth of a second slower than the Brit.
Langford is now due to compete in the Anniversary Games at the Olympic Stadium in London next weekend.
Langford wins gold by the slightest of margins in the Men's 800m Final, with Tolokonnikov & Borkowski just behind. http://t.co/KxH5s9Cn73
