Great Britain's Gemma Steel finishes runner-up for a second consecutive year at the Great Manchester Run on Sunday.

Great Britain's Gemma Steel crossed the finish line second at the Great Manchester Run on Sunday.

It is the second consecutive year that the 29-year-old, who clocked a time of 31 minutes, 51 seconds, finished runner-up in the race.

Kenya's Betsy Saina, who was competing in the Manchester event for the first time, came out on top, six seconds ahead of her British rival.

Stephen Sambu of Kenya completed the men's 10km race in 27 minutes, 30 seconds, while British Paralympic champion David Weir won the wheelchair race to claim his sixth title.
