Mickey Bushell expresses his relief after winning the medal that evaded him in Beijing.

ParalympicsGB's T53 100m gold-medal winner Mickey Bushell has expressed his relief after winning the medal that evaded him in Beijing.

Bushell's win was never in doubt in the race itself but Bushell has said that he was not taking anything for granted.

"I've waited four years for this," Bushell said. "I nearly cried coming across the line, I was that emotional.

"I was confident but you never know on the day. [I missed out on gold] last year and I've finally come out and done it."

Bushell's gold was GB's 19th so far this Paralympics.
