Great Britain's Shara Proctor qualifies for the women's long jump final with her first attempt of 6.83m, six centimetres short of her own national record.

Great Britain's Shara Proctor has automatically qualified for the final of the women's long jump with her first attempt this evening.

The Anguillan-born 23-year-old was near-perfect on the board and launched herself 6.83m, clear of the standard required to reach tomorrow's final.

Proctor won bronze at the world indoor championships earlier this year with a national record of 6.89m, six centimetres further than today's jump.

Tomorrow's final gets underway at around 8.05pm.
