Great Britain's Mo Farah won the men's two mile race the Great North City Games in Gateshead this afternoon.
The 28-year-old won in eight minutes and 37 seconds ahead of American Brian Ollinger.
Farah, who won 5,000m gold at the World Athletics Championships, confirmed his participation in today's competition earlier this week.
