Blessing Okagbare dominates women's 100m semis

Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare recovered from a slow start to sprint clear of the field and record a time of 10.93s as she won the last women's 100m semi-final at the Commonwealth Games this evening.

Kerron Stewart crossed the line in second, while Team England's Bianca Williams finished third with 11.34s, quick enough to secure the final place in tonight's final.

Veronica Campbell-Brown made a late surge to claim victory in the second semi-final, with Nigeria's Gloria Asumnu taking second.

Jamaica's Schillonie Calvert, who took victory in the first semi-final with a season's best equalling time of 11.08s, and is joined in the final by England's Asha Phillip, who finished second.
