Mo Farah collapses in New York

Two-time Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah required emergency medical treatment when he collapsed moments after finishing the New York half-marathon on Sunday.

The 30-year-old is believed to have lost consciousness for a number of minutes before being taken away in a wheelchair after his second-placed finish in Manhattan today.

However, despite being unconscious for up to three minutes, Farah did not require hospital treatment and is believed to have described the incident as "not a big deal" shortly after.

Fellow Olympian Usain Bolt tweeted his support for the Britian, commenting: "Heard what happened champ @Mo_Farah ... I hope your okay."

The race, which is considered a warm-up for next month's Virgin Money Marathon in London, was won by Kenya's Geoffrey Mutai.
