Greene out of London Grand Prix

Commonwealth and European 400m hurdles champion Dai Greene has opted to withdraw from Saturday's London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old has been suffering with a virus for a number of weeks and has instead decided to focus on the World Championships that begin in South Korea on Saturday, August 27.

"For all those asking, I am no longer running at Palace on the weekend," the Welshman said on Twitter.

"[I] want to concentrate on training ahead of Daegu."

Greene won both the Commonwealth and European crowns in 2010.
