Usain Bolt runs a season's best time of 9.85 seconds to win the 100m race at the London Anniversary Games held at the Olympic Stadium.

Six-time Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt ran a season's best time to win the 100m race at tonight's Anniversary Games.

The Jamaican shaved nine hundredths of a second off his fastest time of 2013 at the Olympic Stadium in the headline act of a two-day event held to celebrate last summer's showpiece games.

Bolt made a poor start in the night's feature event, but soon found his stride to burst ahead of the USA's Michael Rodgers, who had to settle for second place.

The 26-year-old crossed the line in a time of 9.85 seconds, with compatriot Nesta Carter back in third place.

Great Britain's sole entrant Dwain Chambers finished fifth in a time of 10.10 seconds, while youngster James Dasalou was forced to withdraw before the race through injury.
