Usain Bolt runs fastest time of the year

Usain Bolt has won the 100m at the Diamond League meeting in Rome with the fastest run of the year.

The Jamaican finished ahead of the pack with a time of 9.76 seconds in the Italian capital.

Fellow countryman Asafa Powell came in next on 9.91 seconds.

A run of 9.82 seconds saw Bolt set the previous fastest time of 2012 earlier this month in Kingston.
