British sprinter Dwain Chambers admits that he is prepared for the fact that he may lose his appeal against an Olympic ban.

British 100m sprinter Dwain Chambers has admitted that he is prepared for the possibility that he may not be permitted to take part in the Olympic Games later this year.

The 33-year-old is contesting a British Olympic Association by-law that excludes drugs cheats from selection.

Chambers, who could is likely to learn his fate at a hearing tomorrow, was banned for two years in 2003 after being found guilty of taking anabolic steroid THG.

"I've got my mind around the possibility of that happening," Chambers replied when asked about the chance of appeal failing.

"I have no idea what the outcome will be and that does make it difficult. It does bother me."

Chambers has never competed at an Olympic Games.
