Jason Smyth smashes T13 200m world record

The fastest Paralympian on the planet Jason Smyth has smashed the world record in the T13 200m final for Ireland.

The race was never close, as Smyth flew out of the blocks to win by almost a second, taking the sprint double with his 21.05s.

Smyth held off three Russians in the race, with silver going to Alexey Labzin with 21.95s ahead of Artem Loginov's 22.03s.
