Sir Mo Farah is eyeing a first victory in the London Marathon on Sunday after a build-up dominated by his row with Haile Gebrselassie.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at some of Farah's previous road performances.

London – April 2018

In his first marathon since retiring from the track in August 2017, Farah finished third on the streets of the capital. Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge won the race for a third time but Farah finished in two hours, six minutes and 21 seconds to beat Steve Jones' 33-year-old British record. Farah had previously run 2:08:21 on his marathon debut when he came eighth in London in 2014.

Newcastle – September 2018

The four-time Olympic champion won a record fifth Great North Run in Newcastle last year. Farah clocked 59 minutes and 26 seconds to beat New Zealand's Jake Robertson by 31 seconds. Victory in the north-east is almost a given now with Farah having won five straight races.

Chicago – October 2018

Farah claimed his maiden marathon win in only his third race with victory in Chicago. After his impressive London Marathon showing a few months earlier he set a new European record in two hours, five minutes and 11 seconds. He was the first British man to win the Chicago race since Paul Evans in 1996.

Big Half – March 2019

As he prepared for Sunday's London Marathon, Farah defended his title in the Big Half in the capital, finishing in one hour, one minute and 14 seconds. He won the half marathon in a sprint finish to beat his time of 1:01:40 in the inaugural event last year. The 13.1-mile race was Farah's final run before he targeted victory in the London Marathon.
