England runner Charlie Grice one of three Brits in 1,500m final

England, Scotland and Wales will be represented in Saturday's 1,500m final as Charlie Grice, Chris O'Hare and Chris Gowell seal progression from their heats.

England runner Charlie Grice is one of three home nations representatives to qualify for the men's 1,500m final at the Commonwealth Games.

Grice qualified second in heat two by clocking a time of 3:40.09 to finish behind Kenya's Ronald Kwemoi and seal his passage into tomorrow night's final.

The 20-year-old will be joined by Welshman Chris Gowell, who finished less than a second behind him in fourth.

Likewise, Scotland's Chris O'Hare secured his progression to Saturday's showpiece with a fourth-place finish in his respective heat in a time of 3:40.80.

The final is scheduled to begin at approximately 7.35pm.
