England's Sawyers leaps to long jump silver

Jazmin Sawyers of England has taken the silver medal in the women's long jump final at the Commonwealth Games tonight.

The 20-year-old athlete jumped a season's best of 6.54m with her final jump as she came just 2cm behind the eventual winner, Ese Brume of Nigeria.

Christabel Netty of Canada rounded off the medallists, jumping 6.49m to take bronze.

The other English athlete in the final, Lorraine Ugen, also jumped a season's best of 6.39m as she came fifth.
