Denise Lewis encouraged by sprinter Bianca Williams

Denise Lewis says that she is impressed with the technique of Team England sprinter Bianca Williams.

Former sprinter Denise Lewis has admitted that Bianca Williams impressed her in the 100m sprint heats, in which three England athletes qualified for the second round.

Williams was joined by Sophie Papps and Asha Philip as the Englishwomen who will race again on Monday night, and Lewis said that her technique is excellent even at such a young age.

"I was particularly impressed by Bianca Williams," she told BBC Sport. "It's her first major championships and you can tell she loved it. She's got great technique and it's really encouraging.

Williams qualified second behind Kerron Stewart of Jamaica.
