Mi Na wins shot put gold

China's Paralympic athlete Mi Na has added another gold medal to her nation's tally after winning the women's F37 shot put final.

Mi set a new world record with a throw reaching 12.20m, which secured the Chinese competitor the top honour, while her compatriot Xu Qiuping came second with a throw of 11.04m.

Eva Berna of the Netherlands managed to get on the podium after throwing a bronze medal-worthy shot of 11.00m, which is a regional record.

Meanwhile, Great Britain's Beverley Jones didn't manage to contest for a medal after failing to throw further than 9.85m, which dropped her down to seventh place in the standings.
