Great Britain's Danielle Brown on course for archery gold in women's open compound

Brown reaches open compound final

Great Britain's Paralympic archer Danielle Brown has secured a place in the women's open compound final.

The number one seed went up against 36-year-old Marina Lyzhnikova of Russia, who scored 647 points in the ranking round at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

Brown, who clinched a points total of 676 in the ranking round, got off to a strong start by clinching a host of impressive nines, which helped her take the edge in the contest.

While Lyzhnikova managed to put four points on the board, Brown did just enough to reach the final with a scoreline of 6-2.
