Ty Law: 'Darrelle Revis shouldn't waste comeback on New York Jets'

Former New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law believes that Darrelle Revis should not waste his comeback from injury against his old club, the New York Jets.

Former New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law believes that Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Darrelle Revis should not waste his comeback on the New York Jets.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since last October after tearing his ACL while playing for the Jets and is due to make his first appearance for the Bucs in their season opener against Rex Ryan's side.

"I don't think the Jets team or the receivers are even worthy of him coming out for this game," Law told Sports Illustrated.

"He could have had the bad knee and covered these guys. He should sit out this game and wait to make a real splash."

Revis has made 19 interceptions in his six seasons in the NFL.
