Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have confirmed that they have signed wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins.

The 27-year-old was available on the open market after his contract with the San Diego Chargers was not renewed at the end of the 2013 season.

Tampa Bay have moved to sign Hawkins to a one-year deal with the club to bolster their receiving corps, after Mike Williams was traded to the Buffalo Bills.

Hawkins has recorded 71 receptions for 771 yards along with one touchdown in his six-year NFL career.
