Pete Carroll: 'We always had belief'

Carroll: 'We always had belief'

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has admitted that he was always confident that his team would find a way to win the NFC Championship game to seal their place in the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks pulled off a miraculous comeback to overturn a 12-point deficit in the final two minutes of the game to beat the Green Bay Packers in overtime at CenturyLink Field.

The victory required two late touchdowns from Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, and also the gathering of an onside kick to send the match to overtime, where Wilson ended the game with a touchdown pass to Jermaine Kearse.

Carroll told reporters: "When you have the belief these guys have in one another, there's nothing you can't do. It takes everybody. It was so much heart today and so much belief that somehow we would pull it out."

Seattle will defend their Super Bowl crown against the New England Patriots in Glendale on February 1.
