Seattle Seahawks' Pete Carroll: Kam Chancellor return has made us "whole"

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll feels that the return of Kam Chancellor to his side's defense made them complete in their win over the Chicago Bears.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has admitted that the return of Kam Chancellor has completed his side's defense.

The 27-year-old held out of the club's training camp and the first two matches of the season, but opted to return to the team after being unsuccessful in his attempt to gain an improved contract.

Chancellor was put straight back into the lineup at strong safety where he helped his side record a shutout 26-0 win over the Chicago Bears.

"We talked throughout the game and throughout the week too on the back and forth of what it felt like," Carroll told reporters.

"He was very comfortable, and they were very comfortable with him coming back. You can just see that he made us whole, kind of.

"He's a terrific football player, and he had a special impact, and what more can you do? We shut them out, and we're really happy about that."

Chancellor recorded one tackle in his side's win at CenturyLink Field.
