Michael Wilhoite: 'We cannot worry about Jim Harbaugh future'

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Michael Wilhoite is adamant that he and his teammates cannot afford to worry about the future of head coach Jim Harbaugh.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Michael Wilhoite has insisted that his side cannot worry about the future of head coach Jim Harbaugh in their final two games of the season.

The 49ers were eliminated from playoff contention following their defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, and the future of Harbaugh has been under speculation throughout this season, with reports suggesting he will leave the club at the end of the campaign.

Wilhoite told reporters: "We've got two games left against two very good teams and we could worry about [Harbaugh] and get blown out the next two games and end the season on a sad note.

"Or we can not worry about it and just keep playing good football and fight and see what comes.

"We've got to ignore everything you guys say and everything the outsiders are saying. Keep it in-house and just keep fighting."

The 49ers failed to reach the post-season for the first time under Harbaugh's four-year tenure at the club.
