Report: Anquan Boldin close to new deal with San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are close to agreeing a new deal with veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin, according to a report.

The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly close to sealing a deal to bring wide receiver Anquan Boldin back to the club for the 2014 season.

The 33-year-old joined the 49ers in a trade move from the Baltimore Ravens last year, but was in the final year of his contract.

After an excellent season for Jim Harbaugh's side the club are close to agreeing a deal with the veteran receiver to get him to return for at least the 2014 campaign after talks at the NFL combine, reports ESPN.

Boldin had 85 receptions for 1,179 yards along with seven touchdowns.
