San Francisco 49ers waive wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin

The San Francisco 49ers have waived wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin to sign fellow wideout L'Damian Washington.

The 24-year-old was initially selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, but struggled to make an impact in two seasons with the club.

The Chiefs then traded Baldwin for wide receiver AJ Jenkins from the 49ers last season, but the wideout failed to make an impression, recorded just three receptions in seven matches.

Baldwin has caught 44 passes for 607 yards and one touchdown in his three years in the NFL.
